The exhibits of Art Exhibition ‘The Open Mind of Lafcadio Hearn’ that have been exhibited in the Matsue Castle till November 3, 2010 were moved to Karakoro Art Studio on November 6, 2010.
Karakoro Art Studio is a gallery, renovated from a bank vault of a former Matsue Branch of Bank of Japan.
According to the organizers of the Art Exhibition who supervised the arrangement of the exhibits on the site, the lighting using spot lights creats a good atmosphere, optmizing uniqueness of the gallery.
The Japan Times dated on November 5, 2010 posted an article featuring the Art Exhibition. It is an interesting article, covering the relations between the life of Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo) and some of the exhibitied art works.You will find the article on their website.
