CHRISTOS GAROUFALIS (Greece, Aetoloakarnania, Agrinio b. 1959.
He took a 4-years course studying drawing and painting in Athens, during which he came into contact with key artists, acquainting himself with their work and philosophy. § In 2005 the Hellenic Post – ELTA released a commemorative set of stamps on the theme of “Vine – Wine” with an exclusive choice of his works. His work is included in the Dictionary of Greek Artists (Melissa Editions, Athens), and at times has been presented in the following TV shows : Plus & Minus, Co-Pictures, RIK, and ERA-3. Since 2003 he has been artistic director of the Artistic Workshop of Agrinio. Christos Garoufalis has presented the following personal exhibitions : Portraits, Hellenic American Union – HAU, Athens (1989); Gallerie Zygos, Athens (1990, 1993); Argo Gallery, Athens (1996, 1999); Triangle Art Gallery, Kifissia (1998); Vines, Gallery of the Port of Thessaloniki (2000); Months – Memories, Attica Bank, Athens (2002), People’s gazes, Argo Gallery, Athens (2009).
