Michael Michaeledes: British artist of Greek origin,
born in Cairo in 1927,
Degree in Architecture from Milan university, Italy, then further studies in London,
painted assiduously from his teen years,
& has exhibited his work internationally over the past 50 years.
He represented Greece in the Venice Biennale 1976
In mid 1960s his paintings developed into construction of reliefs of canvas stretched over wooden structures, inspired by the light from his Mediterranean origin and Greek classical marbles.
